Quantum dots (QDs) light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) are gaining significant interest for the next generation of display and lighting applications because their wide color gamut, cost-effective solution processability, good stability. The last decades have witnessed rapid advances in improving efficiency lifetime. So far, among three primary colors QLEDs devices, performance blue is considerably inferior to that green red ones including Cd-based Cd-free which a key bottleneck hindering QLEDs' application. This mini-review describes recent from materials device engineering, particular, elaborating essential factors limit degradation mechanisms. We also discuss progress challenges large-scale displays. Finally, we propose possible approaches improve QLEDs, QDs architecture optimization, summarize potential this stimulating field.
