Ijen geopark is one of Indonesia's geoparks, which located in East Java. A total 153 bacteria have been isolated from Pelangi Forest, were then given the isolate code IHP. These bacterial isolates can be utilized industries, including organic matter decomposer agents, plant biocontrol and probiotics. To ensure these are safe to use various fields, they must non-disease-causing (non-pathogenic). Safety evaluations based on hemolysis reactions offer simple tests ease analysis potential pathogenic bacteria. In recent years, the interest in developing genetically modified microorganisms (GMMs), including GMMs developed by genome editing, for use environment has significantly increased. However, scientific knowledge on ecology of such is severely limited. There also little experience at hands regulators how to evaluate environmental safety and assess whether they provide sustainable alternatives current (agricultural) production systems. This review analyzes two different GMM applications, GM microalgae biofuel nitrogen-fixing soil bacteria as biofertilizers. The application of bacterial biofortifiers is an increasingly common technique. In recent years, some strains have been shown to improve the nutraceutical qualities crops. Land use practices and climate change have driven substantial soil degradation across global drylands, impacting ecosystem functions human livelihoods. Biological crusts, a common feature of dryland ecosystems, are under extensive exploration for their potential to restore the stability fertility degraded soils through development inoculants. However, stressful abiotic conditions often result in failure inoculation-based restoration field may hinder long-term success biocrust efforts. Taking an assisted migration approach, we cultivated inocula sourced from multiple hot-adapted sites (Mojave Sonoran Deserts) outdoor facility at cool desert site (Colorado Plateau). How agricultural practices affect the risk of human contamination by infectious pathogens: the need for a ‘One Health’ perspective DOI

Abstract We conducted a comprehensive literature review with global geographic scope, of interactions between agricultural crop production practices (excluding protection practices) and biological human health hazards. The majority relevant references dealt bacterial contaminations infections, largely due to the important public issue antibiotic resistance. Indicator coliforms were particularly significant (only minority mentioned harmful Escherichia coli strains), followed by species belonging Salmonella , Campylobacter Clostridia Pseudomonas Listeria genera. Protozoan Cryptosporidium spp. Giardia spp., helminthic Ascaris Trichuris dominated parasites. Enteric viruses (particularly noroviruses rotaviruses). Very few fungal pathogens. Fresh vegetables most commonly crops, leafy greens those eaten raw, use wastewater for irrigation, fertilization livestock manure excreta/sewage sludge, potentially unsafe practices. While earlier reviews have shown that are central One Health concept, this shows other can also contribute environmental via different pathways, including better soil health, water quality, food safety, nutrition. Our underlines besides tradeoffs, synergies should be sought, between, on one hand, saving/preserving freshwater organic waste recycling (affecting some aspects health), hazards associated contaminated from both agroecological perspectives.

Today’s agriculture requires the search for new and modern tools in order to improve expand use of its crops increase their sustainability. The plant growth-promoting PGP bacteria (PGPB) is target much research seems be an ideal strategy as long strains are properly selected this purpose. Among bacteria, lactic acid (LAB) considered a suitable alternative due high biosafety mechanisms promoting growth. In view this, work we decided isolate LAB with capacity from raw milk cheese PDO “Serra da Estrela”. In this study, bacteria with the best abilities in cellulose degradation, siderophore production, phosphate solubility, and Pythium parasitica inhibition were selected from termite nests guts. The isolate BTNASP 5-2, BTPK 5-3 BTNA 5-1 guts exhibited highest production index (SPI) (4.16 ± 0.21), solubilizing (PSI) (2.10 0.14) percentage of radial growth (PIRG) (67.07 4.02 %), respectively. BGNACMC 4-3 isolated nest gave cellulolytic (CI) 5.17 0.24. Bacterial classification was performed using 16s rRNA gene sequencing. isolates 5-3, found closely related to Bacillus cereus, whereas bacterial 5-2 subtilis. It is also suggested that cereus a variety biological activities, denoting cellulase, phosphate-solubilizing antifungal while subtilis produced only siderophore. results obtained suggest will be used develop bio-compost promote plant growth, leading sustainable farming.
