Abstract This paper argues that human signification is governed by “agentive systems,” inspired an extended framework combines the Practical Logic of Cognitive Systems and Peircean semiotics. An agentive system encompasses both efficient anticipation resource utilization use actual available resources, including bodily capacities in form embodied habits. These resources are allocated based on agendas (goals) pursued agents their interactions with environment. In this context, involves meaning actions embedded within system, encompassing agent performing actions, action’s goal or agenda, whether (skills, abilities, capacities) non-bodily (objects, signs). Abstract This paper proposes to recover the topic of philosophy scientific method from its late nineteenth-century roots. The subject matter sprouted key inferential ingredients identified by Charles Peirce. In this paper, historical path is traversed viewpoint contemporary Cognitive Structural Realism (CSR). Peirce’s semiotic theory methods and practices inquiry prefigured CSR’s reliance on embodied informational structures experimentation upon forms relations that model generic domains. Three results are shown follow convocation: (i) a naturalization interconnected abductive, deductive inductive stages logic science, here characterized de novo in terms CSR. (ii) perspective modeling incorporates processes abstraction generalization as originated (iii) diagrammatic reasoning pivotal analyzing experimental practices.
