Human-robot touch interaction plays an essential role in emotional support and human mental health support. The of therapeutic robots such as Paro has been widely investigated. However, the impact humanoid robotic on social regulation users' emotions is still unknown. Therefore, a mixed experiment was conducted with type (grip versus contact) between-subjects factor presence during movie reception (with without touch) within-subjects factor. subjective perception emotion, ECG, fNIRS signals were collected experiment. results showed that robot regulates subjectively positive emotions, reduces HR, increases HRV, helps suppress brain activity right DLPFC. No main effect found autonomic responses, central nervous responses. study provides neurophysiological evidence for great potential robotics emotion.
