Yellow mealworm ( Tenebrio molitor ) meal was introduced to aquafeed as a suitable protein source replace fish (FM) and soybean and, thereby, consistent aquaculture production. However, mealworms should be added at adequate levels due the presence of antinutritional factors such chitin. Consequently, sodium butyrate (SB) is suggested improve feed quality ensure aquatic animals’ productivity welfare. In this study, parallel with T. or FM), dietary supplementation SB (1 g/kg) involved factor in 2 × factorial study. The first second diets were formulated using FM without SB, while third fourth prepared by replacing supplementation. After 60 days, fed showed improved final body weight gain, those had reduced efficiency ratio. Histological analysis revealed that intestinal histological features increasing height branching villi immune cell infiltration near crypts Nile tilapia‐fed . Furthermore, fish‐fed higher Hb, red blood cells, PCV, total protein, globulin than respective test Dietary addition ‐based also significantly enhanced lysozyme phagocytic activities, catalase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, MDA levels. Our results demonstrate can compromising tilapia’s growth performance health status. Additionally, utilization tilapia, thereby enhancing growth, digestion capacity, features, antioxidative responses. reduces reliance on improves sustainability tilapia
