Background Diet plays a crucial role in sustaining healthy body, and microbes have attracted significant scholarly interest recent years as an essential component of diet. This study aims to explore the association between dietary live microbe intake incidence Parkinson’s Disease (PD) among adults over 40 old. Methods A total 26,033 subjects NHANES 1999–2018 were included this study, comprising 314 patients with PD, which divided into three groups based on their foods different levels microbial content: high, medium, low. The assessment subjects’ was conducted through self-reported questionnaire. Results distribution follows: 34.5% had low intake, 45.4% medium 20.1% high intake. multivariable logistic regression analysis revealed that (OR = 0.52, 95% CI: 0.37–0.74) 0.73, 0.57–0.93) exhibits reduced prevalence PD compared those Restricted cubic spline (RCS) indicated linear PD. Furthermore, stratified analyses demonstrate research variables more pronounced without obesity. Conclusion demonstrates inverse

Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases. Constipation a prodromal symptom PD. It important to investigate pathogenesis constipation symptoms in Rotenone has been successfully used establish PD animal models. However, specific mechanism rotenone-induced not well understood. In this work, we found that appeared earlier than motor impairment mice gavaged with low dose rotenone (30 mg/kg·BW). only caused loss dopaminergic neurons and accumulation α-synuclein, but also significantly reduced serum 5-HT levels 5-HTR4 striatum colon. The mRNA expression aquaporins, gastrointestinal motility factors (c-Kit, Cx43, smMLCK MLC-3) mouse colon was regulated by rotenone. addition, both brain showed inflammation barrier dysfunction; PI3K/AKT pathway substantia nigra inhibited Importantly, structure, composition function gut microbiota were altered Some taxa closely associated symptoms, inflammation, status mice. Akkermansia, Staphylococcus Lachnospiraceae_UCG-006 may play role exacerbating whereas Acinetobacter, Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Solibacillus Eubacterium_xylanophilum_groups be beneficial stimulating peristalsis, maintaining alleviating damage conclusion, low-dose can cause parkinsonism disrupting intestinal microecosystem inhibiting PI3K-AKT motility.

It is well established that the gut-brain axis (GBA) a bidirectional communication between gut and brain. This axis, critical in maintaining overall homeostasis, regulated at neuronal, endocrine, immunological levels, all of which may be influenced by microbiota (GM). Therefore, dysbiosis or disruption GM have serious consequences including neuroinflammation due to overactivation immune system. Strategies reestablish integrity via use probiotics are being pursued as novel therapeutic intervention variety central peripheral diseases. The mechanisms leading efficacy probiotics, however, not fully evident. Here, we performed computational analysis on two major namely Lactobacillus Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG (formerly named rhamnosus, L. GG) Bifidobacterium animalis spp. lactis (B. B. animalis) only shed some light their mechanism(s) action but also identify potential molecular targets for probiotics. Using PubMed web page BioCyc Database Collection platform specifically analyzed proteins affected metabolites these bacteria. Our results indicate peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs), nuclear receptor involved regulation inflammation key mediators neuroactive effect
