The potential of microbial-derived antioxidants to modulate intestinal inflammation is increasingly recognized, which especially important in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Oxidative stress, a major contributor chronic inflammation, the result an imbalance between production reactive oxygen species (ROS) and body's antioxidant defenses. This systematic review explores role alleviating IBD. Among main findings are certain compounds, such as exopolysaccharides (EPS) short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), have demonstrated their ability neutralize ROS strengthen integrity barrier, thereby attenuating responses. These offer dual benefit mitigating oxidative stress rebalancing gut microbiota, often disrupted Evidence from preclinical clinical studies provides better understanding mechanisms involved effects these microbial antioxidants. Conventional treatments for IBD primarily focus on immune modulation. In this context, integration could complementary approach by addressing both damage dysbiosis. Further research trials essential establish standardized treatment guidelines clarify long-term efficacy promising therapeutic agents.

Background: Chronic stress is associated with detrimental effects on physical health, such as chronic restraint (CRS), which can damage the intestinal tract. Although tryptophan has many benefits in maintaining underlying mechanism of its protective against stress-induced injury remains unclear. Methods: In this study, we constructed a CRS model by using behavioral device mice were restrained for 6 h per day over 14 days and investigated effects, well potential high-tryptophan diet (0.4% tryptophan), CRS-induced scanning electron microscopy, 16S rRNA sequencing, LC-MS. Results: A 0.4% (fed ad libitum 24 days) attenuated pathologies, including weight loss, elevated corticosterone, barrier injury, increased permeability, epithelial apoptosis. Tryptophan modulated gut microbiota composition mice, increasing abundance Bacteroidota decreasing Firmicutes, enhancing metabolic function through pathways identified KEGG analysis. Additionally, restored levels short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), acetic, propionic, isobutyric, butyric, valeric acids. Correlation analyses showed interactions between tryptophan, SCFAs, microbiota. Conclusions: supplementation attenuates modulating integrity homeostasis, beneficial are largely SCFA-mediated regulation permeability microbiota-associated energy metabolism.

The fermentation products of soybean are rich in beneficial bacteria, which play Shenghui Chu a significant role maintaining the balance intestinal microbiota and improving health. To investigate immunomodulatory effects broth (S-FB) on loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) with lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced enteritis, 16S rDNA high-throughput sequencing technology was employed to analyze composition structure two groups: LPS-treated group (fed broth) control (normal feeding conditions). results revealed that relative abundance such as Lactobacillus Muribaculaceae, significantly increased treatment group, while harmful including Aeromonas Shewanella, decreased. These findings suggest can repair damage maintain health by enhancing bacteria reducing pathogenic host. Functional prediction studies microbial communities also showed groups primarily affected metabolic genetic information processing. research analyzed changes distribution microflora different loach, providing new insights into possible liquid inflammation.
