Agricultural practices affect the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil in agroecosystems. This study evaluated impact food production strategies on rhizosphere microbial communities Yaqui Valley, Mexico, key crops (Medicago sativa, Brassica oleracea, Asparagus officinalis, Phaseolus vulgaris, Citrus sinensis, Zea mays, Solanum tuberosum, Triticum durum, an undisturbed native ecosystem). Soil samples were collected from 30 cm depths across one-hectare fields analyzed for bulk density, pH, organic matter content, electrical conductivity. Standardized methods used these analyses, along with isolation through culturing, PCR amplification, DNA sequencing identification. The use synthetic fertilizers region was linked to increased salinity compaction. Organic content notably low at ≤1.4%, which negatively impacted diversity. A total 317 strains isolated, bacteria comprising 73% fungi 27%. Bacillus most dominant bacterial genus (41% isolates), while Aspergillus abundant fungal (31% isolates). Crop-specific identified. provides first detailed insight into how agricultural shape Valley’s major crops, highlighting link between

This study examined the effects of replacing corn with an aged brown rice (ABR)–wheat mixture (ABR: wheat = 85%:15%) on laying performance, egg quality, yolk fatty acid profile, economic benefits, serum biochemistry, and nutrient digestibility in ducks. A 12-week trial six hundred 32-week-old Jinding ducks were randomly divided into five groups, 10 replicates per group, each replicate contained 12 The levels ABR–wheat diet 0%, 12.5%, 25%, 37.5%, 50%, respectively, to replace equal amounts corn. basic control group was corn–soybean meal (corn accounted for 50%). experimental period weeks (from 32 43 old). No significant differences observed performances (p > 0.05). From a numerical perspective, duck-housed rate mass highest 37.5% lowest 50% group. Yolk color declined linearly < 0.05) over weeks. albumen height Haugh unit showed quadratic increase 4 8 relative content monounsaturated acids (MUFA) increased 0.05), while polyunsaturated (PUFA), ω-3 PUFA, ω-6 ω-6/ω-3 PUFA decreased yolks triglycerides (TG) secondary change significantly lower than other treatment groups apparent ether extract (EE) diets crude protein (CP) reduced there no difference between 0% Compared analysis revealed net gains 0.04–0.10 USD/duck at ≤37.5% substitution, but loss (−0.04 USD) 50%. In conclusion, could reduce content, it improve quality MUFA content. High-level (50%) TG also decrease mass. Our findings suggest that up can effectively duck without negatively affecting improving altering composition.

: Phytic acid is a prevalent anti-nutrient in human and animal diets, neutralized effectively by the enzyme phytase. This enzyme, extensively used food industry livestock production, was focus of our study to identify phytase-producing fungal species among contaminants ultra-refined white cheeses. We evaluated enzymatic activity each isolate phytase screening medium (PSM) Luria bertani Broth (LB) media, determining optimal production conditions such as temperature pH for with highest activity. Initial from 110 mold isolates, representing 10 different species, identified 28 isolates across 6 capable producing These included Aspergillus niger, oryzae, Penicillium commune, chrysogenum, Paecilomyces variotii, Cladosporium cladosporioides, discernible halo zones around their colonies. The levels were recorded P. commune (133.76 U/mL) variotii (216.7 PSM LB respectively. Remarkably, this first document showcasing presenting new opportunity industrial production. isolated demonstrated stability optimum at temperatures 20°C 70°C 4.0 7.0, peaking 50°C 6.0. Its unique properties suggest significant potential applications, positioning it novel candidate further exploration
