Abstract This study investigates the relationships of mindfulness with subjective well‐being and psychological through mediating role capital. It also compares Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) in relation to these outcomes. Using a randomized controlled design, 185 participants from Prolific completed brief two‐week intervention, one pre‐ two post‐intervention measures. While intervention effects were limited, findings reveal that is positively similarly associated both SWB PWB, stronger indirect links PWB via PsyCap. measures had similar all outcomes, multidimensional FFMQ offered additional insights, identifying “describing” facet as particularly influential for informing new potential paths theorizing practice.

This study explores the introductory experiences and expectations of mobile-based meditation (MbM) among university students, a non-clinical population, to address gaps in mindfulness research regarding individual needs. Using interpretative phenomenological analysis, semi-structured online interviews were conducted with six students. The analysis identified three interconnected themes initial MbM practice: calm (induced by clarity, escape, portability, autonomy, reduced distractions); focus (affected setting, novelty structure guided meditations, disentanglement thoughts, ‘wakeful sleep’ experience); self-awareness (focused on bodily sensations, memories, abilities, emotions, life’s pleasures). While was generally positive, perceived limitations caused demotivation discontinuation for some participants. Initial often heightened calmness, adherence, continued use. acknowledges potential positivity bias challenges capturing nuanced temporal dynamics experiences. These findings underscore importance clear communication from app developers healthcare providers about purpose emotional variability practice, including integration focus-related metrics, before individuals begin using MbM. contributes novel insights into psychological experiences, both between within individuals, offers practical implications design implementation interventions.
