Self-compassion is associated with emotional well-being, yet its benefits in generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) patients remain unclear. This study investigated the impact of self-compassion on and physiological stress responses individuals diagnosed GAD. Seventy-seven GAD were categorized into high (n = 39) low 38) groups using Self-Compassion Scale. Electrocardiograms recorded during a stress-inducing task, which negative feedback was provided personal intelligence career development. Participants reported state perceived pre- post-task. When exposed to stressor, higher had lower heart rates (t (75) -2.06, p 0.043), rate variability 2.73, 0.04), -2.07, 0.041) compared group.
