Egypt, as a nation, is committed to achieving ecological sustainability, which helps protect the environment for future generations, thereby ensuring balance between energy production, environmental health, and economic development. With regard this vision, research utilized autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) estimator probe how hydroelectricity, digitalization, natural gas affect degradation within Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) in Egypt. This study further used two distinct proxies, namely, CO2 emissions footprint. The result of ARDL indicates that there an inverted U-shaped association growth while urbanization does not sustainability. Moreover, negatively impact sustainability Furthermore, frequency domain causality approach showed two-way pathway its regressors. Based on outcome, policymakers should prioritize decoupling from by investing green infrastructure, sustainable industries, circular economy models.

ABSTRACT The wave of digitalization has spread across all countries in the world, with lasting environmental consequences medium and long term. On flip side, impact resource richness, including its exploitation consumption, been an age‐long debate among policymakers, particularly emerging markets. As such, this study examines effect natural resources (NR), digital economy, clean energy consumption on ecological footprint (EF) load capacity factor (LCF) from 2000 to 2022. current enriches literature by assessing different dimensions economy both demand side supply quality. results augment mean group estimator suggest that NR economic growth increase EF models. However, indicators except ICT goods exports, alleviate EF. same set variables reduce also LCF for selected countries. Renewable (REC) heterogeneous effects LCF, suggesting is not adequately consumed In addition, direction causality flows A bidirectional exists between REC EF, LCF. Based findings, it recommended develop more technologies, intensify process promotion, mobilize benefits transition a sustainable environment.

Rapid urbanization has altered the natural surface properties and spatial patterns, increasing risk of urban waterlogging. Assessing probability waterlogging is crucial for preventing mitigating environmental risks associated with This study aims to evaluate impact different morphologies on risk. The proposed assessment framework was demonstrated in Guangzhou, a high-density city China. Firstly, weight naive Bayes model employed map Guangzhou. Secondly, World Urban Database Access Portal Tools (WUDAPT)-based method used create local climate zone (LCZ) Then, range proportion levels were analyzed across LCZs. Finally, Theil index measure disparity exposure among residents. results indicate that 16.29% area Guangzhou at Specifically, 13.06% LCZ 2 classified as high risk, followed by 1, 8, 10, proportions 11.42%, 8.37%, 6.26%, respectively. Liwan District highest flood level 0.975, Haizhu, Yuexiu, Baiyun. overall 0.30, difference between administrative districts (0.13) being smaller than within (0.17). These findings provide valuable insights future mitigation help adopting effective reduction strategies planning level.

The uses Kao Westerlund DH cointegration tests, FMOLS DOLS estimators, panel Fisher Hatemi-J asymmetric causality tests to provide reliable results. Long-run estimates confirm an inverted U-shaped linkage development footprints. Natural rent increase footprints, while decreases them. Furthermore, contribute quality, urbanization increases test findings reveal that have a causal link with footprint. results show negative shocks observed in footprint are affected by both positive innovation. Scientific and technological innovation ecological progress are important forces for China’s high-quality development. Nevertheless, the current body of research seldom explores mutual dependence evolutionary patterns two regional systems when considering both historical future perspectives. This paper aims to enhance theoretical framework by focusing on coastal region China. It analyzes predicts co-evolution space–time distribution process constructing a coupled model gray prediction model. The results show following: (1) coupling coordinated development level has basically reached stage good development, increased, but gap gradually Jiangsu Guangdong have leading level; (2) spatial in areas is uneven, showing convex pattern “high middle low at ends”; (3) during forecast period, overall coordination will continue improve, individual cities still cannot jump out state slow processes. With aim fostering harmonious growth national levels, this proposes practical recommendations concerning establishment sustainable interaction mechanism, evolution industrial structure towards sustainability, economic contribution scientific innovation. Furthermore, article serves as valuable reference advancing other nations.

Abstract Achieving sustainable development while mitigating environmental degradation is a pressing global challenge. Economic development, accompanied by industrialization, fossil fuel consumption, and unsustainable use of natural resources, widely identified in the literature as leading cause degradation. Green energy transition (GET) economic complexity—the shift towards more advanced knowledge‐driven manufacturing, can be crucial strategies reducing ecological helping countries achieve climate change mitigation targets. finance play an important role sustainability, geopolitical risk impede countries' efforts. In this context, study investigates impact GET, complexity, green finance, on footprint OECD from 1995 to 2021. These four critical factors are integrated into same policy framework due their potential influence sustainability economies. The employed Method Moments Quantile Regression provide robust estimates across different quantiles. empirical outcomes unveiled that GET significantly reduces all complexity posed significant negative quantiles except at lower quantile ( τ = 0.10). also poses impact, indicating its effectiveness promoting sustainability. However, exacerbates footprint. control variables, GDP urbanization, found increase terms implications, suggests policymakers should focus increasing share energy, fostering tensions reduce nations.
