Desert plants, such as Agave tequilana, A. salmiana and Myrtillocactus geometrizans, can survive harsh environmental conditions partly due to their symbiotic relationships with microorganisms, including arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). Interestingly, some of these also harbour endosymbiotic bacteria. Our research focused on investigating the diversity AMFs associated bacteria in plants growing arid soil. We found that agaves have a threefold higher AMF colonization than M. geometrizans. Obesity is a critical medical condition worldwide that increasingly involved with nutritional derangements associated micronutrient deficiencies, including iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, selenium, and vitamins A, C, D, E. Nutritional deficiencies in obesity are mainly caused by poor-quality diets, higher nutrient requirements, alterations metabolism, invasive treatments. The current conventional agricultural system designed for intensive food production, focusing on quantity rather than quality, consuming excessive inputs, producing nutrient-deficient foods, thus generating severe health environmental problems; products may worsen obesity-related malnutrition. Therefore, modern agriculture adopting new biofortification technologies to combat improve productivity sustainability. Plant growth-promoting microorganisms (PGPM) benefit plant health by enhancing nutrient-use efficiency and protecting plants against biotic abiotic stresses. This study aimed to isolate characterize autochthonous PGPM from important agri-food crops nonagricultural formulate biofertilizers. This study investigated the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on growth, phosphorus (P) uptake, and yield maize in presence or absence tillage.
