The widespread use of antibiotics has severely impacted water bodies and ecosystems, necessitating well-designed photocatalysts for effective degradation. In this regard, present work reports the synthesis MnO2:xFe3+ (MF-x, x = 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) nanoparticles via bio-mediated process using Tridax procumbens as reducing stabilizing agents. Various physicochemical approaches confirmed structural, optical, morphological properties MF-x nanoparticles, revealing a reduced optical bandgap (2.06-0.97 eV) visible-light photocatalysis. PXRD analysis reveals cubic crystalline nature belonging to space group number 206 (I a-3) with crystallite sizes ranging 39-70 nm, which was further refined Rietveld method acceptable χ2 value 2.3 doped sample. Raman spectra existence Fg Eg + active modes from bixbyite structure corresponding I a-3. Furthermore, FESEM TEM analyses showed highly uniform porous morphology evaluated particle in agreement results. Additionally, quantitative aspects precursor elements were through XPS studies. photocatalytic activity MF-10 degrading Tetracycline hydrochloride (TC-HCl) under optimized pH, catalyst dosage, TC-HCl concentration visible light. Results show that weight (100 mg) as-synthesized exhibit high performance 94.23% degradation against 20 ppm 90 min. On other hand, pH variation reusability test indicated efficiency significant at neutral 5th cycle (64.28) authenticated by pHPZC evaluation (7.55). Thus, showcased potential application MnO2: Fe3+ low-cost environmentally friendly material treatment applications.
