The genus Omphalina is an ideal for studying the evolutionary mechanism of lichenization. In the present study, five new wood-inhabiting fungal species, Conferticiumalbocremeum (Stereaceae, Russulales), Dendrocorticiopsisluteoalba (Punctulariaceae, Corticiales), Eichleriellabiluoxueshanensis (Auriculariaceae, Auriculariales), Gloeohypochniciumyunnanense (Incertae sedis, and Punctularianigrodontea collected from southern China, are proposed based on a combination of morphological features phylogenetic evidence. is characterized by membranaceous smooth basidiomata with white to cream surface ellipsoid verrucose basidiospores (9-11 × 5-7 µm); buff, ellipsoid, thin-walled (7-8 4.5-5.5 coriaceous grandinioid buff cinnamon-buff hymenophore allantoid, (13.5-17.5 7-9 cream, globose, thick-walled warted (10-12 10-11.5 µm), resupinate effused-reflexed (8.5-10 5-6 µm). Sequences internal transcribed spacers (ITS) large subunit (nLSU) nuclear ribosomal DNA (rDNA) markers studied samples were generated.
