In Aphelidium insulamus (Opisthokonta, Aphelida) zoospores, the expression of 7708 genes out 7802 described was detected. For 589 them, levels were shown to be more than 10 times higher median level. Among highly expressed with known functions, largest functional categories "Cellular Metabolism", "Protein Synthesis", "Cell State Control", and "Nucleic Acid Processing". Unlike fungal translational transcriptional activity demonstrated for A. zoospores. With increasing temperature, many zoospore changed dramatically; heat shock chaperone protein multiplied 30 times, indicating high sensitivity aphelid zoospores their response environmental changes.

This article presents the results of morphological studies, as well comparisons and phylogenetic analyzes sequences four arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF, phylum Glomeromycota): Dominikiaindica, Dominikiaindica strain 211, Isolate 517, 524. 211 was previously characterized only by 45S nuc rDNA region (= 18S, partial, ITS-1-5.8S-ITS2, 28S, partial) rpb1 gene (without any data) that were deposited in GenBank under incorrect name "Dominikiaindica 211". Fungal infections are a significant global public health challenge because of their widespread occurrence, morbidity, and profound social economic consequences. Antifungal resistance is also an increasing concern, posing substantial risk to health. There growing interest in searching for new antifungal drugs isolated from natural sources. This study aimed evaluate the activity novel mollusk fractions against fungal strains resistant nystatin amphotericin B. In addition, role oxidative stress mechanism damage was determined. The mucus garden snail Cornu aspersum (MCa/1-20) hemolymph fraction marine Rapana venosa (HLRv/3-100) were obtained characterized via 12% sodium dodecyl sulfate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) mass spectrometric -analyses. results demonstrate that spores biomass both have fungicidal effect Penicillium griseofulvum, Aspergillus niger. ABSTRACT Adenosine‐to‐inosine (A‐to‐I) RNA editing, capable of protein recoding, has evolved independently in animals and fungi. This study proposes adaptive hypotheses regarding its origins phenotypic significance, suggesting that A‐to‐I editing enhances adaptability by alleviating genetic trade‐offs. In metazoans, emergence may have been driven a development‐defense trade‐off associated with transposable element activation during the evolution multicellularity. Late Devonian cooling End‐Permian warming are hypothesized to extensive recoding coleoid nervous systems Sordariomycete sexual fruiting bodies, respectively. These adaptations influenced key evolutionary innovations, including metazoan systems, intelligence, shell loss, fungal reproductive structures. Additionally, is proposed facilitate accelerated development specific life‐history strategies both paper provides new perspectives on forces shaping role diversity across taxa.

Fungal biologists have embraced phylogenies for understanding the biology of this diverse group in an evolutionary framework. In attempt to highlight lineages fungi that are distinct from most speciose subphylum Dikarya (Ascomycota + Basidiomycota), terms "early diverging [lineages]" and "basal fungi" been introduced, typically refer any phylum outside Dikarya. However, these problematic, because they implicitly assume traits taxa ancestral by invoking a "ladder progress." A simple rearrangement tree deemphasize species-rich shows logic branching" or "basal" is fallacy, it ignores two facts: (i) all extant evolved equivalent amount time since last common fungal ancestor, (ii) lineages" no more related each other than To support many mycologists who want celebrate understudied while ensuring not mistakenly perceived as "less evolved," "more ancient," "lower complexity," we propose community abandon simply use formal taxonomic names, e.g. Mucoromycota. Doing so will promote knowledge often overlooked branches life.
