Osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) has shown efficacy in various clinical conditions and age groups. Understanding its neurobiological, particularly autonomic, mechanisms of action remain limited. Preliminary studies suggested a parasympathetic effect OMT, evidenced by heart-rate-variability analysis. A cross-over RCT on healthy adults was conducted to compare OMT with sham therapy. Thirty-seven participants underwent two sessions (OMT sham), comprising baseline, tactile treatment, post-touch. Novel thermal imaging data analyses combination seed correlation (SCA) were employed explore the effects autonomic parameters. Particularly, group exhibited an elevated warming cheeks, nose, chin. Inversely, for conspicuous cooling trend but not cheeks chin observed. Considering SCA maps, intensity nose tip, glabella GSR seeds showed higher values compared group. The comparative analysis maps results represents significant advancement our understanding physiological underlying OMT's functions. By elucidating specific patterns temperature change, clusters, this research provides valuable insights optimizing practice refining theoretical models manual

The academic discourse surrounding tourism's interdisciplinary approach has long piqued the interest of scholarly community. More recently, attention pivoted towards intersection neuroscience and neuromarketing within realm tourism, giving rise to concept “neurotourism”. This emergence requires a comprehensive elucidation relevance field thereby addressing imperative bridge existing knowledge gaps. In light this, present paper endeavours fulfil this objective by synthesizing global research in domain. study adopts an approach, employing hybrid systematic review methodology that encompasses literature encompassing nine key indicators bibliometric analysis through co-word author keywords. total, our investigation unearthed 45 papers from Scopus, each exploring application theories methods context tourism. Among these, three delve into neurotourism. paper, we underscore deep connection between neuroscience, neuroscientific methodologies, tourism research. outcomes significantly enhance comprehension current state neurotourism research, revealing both voids emerging areas interest. Furthermore, introduces pioneering methodological fusing Scival topic prominence techniques analysis. Ultimately, findings illuminate notable lacuna, presenting fertile terrain for prospective investigations. Additionally, deliberate on trends propose directions future landscape.
