Polluted water containing synthetic dyes from industries of various sectors is a serious hazard to human health as well the rest flora and fauna in environment. It has be treated by efficient yet cost-effective methods such adsorption pollutant dyes. This review summarizes successful one hazardous dye, methylene blue, using polymeric hydrogel nanocomposites adsorbents. These have been proven more active adsorbing than mere parent polymers or pure nanoparticles, seen most cases. effect may contribution high capacities result proposed mechanisms, synergistic enhancement desired characters its components, significance optimum sorption conditions influencing dye onto nanocomposite adsorbent. The porous nature polymer activity nanofillers are potential cause for this research. Not only novel adsorbents remediation pollution but also green approach due spontaneity process without consumption external energy addition being recyclable non-toxic.

Abstract Wastewater containing dyes are released into water bodies generating serious problems in human health and marine life. To contribute to the solution of this problem, a novel activated carbon was prepared from untreated pine ( Pinus radiata ) sawdust by dry chemical activation with ZnCl 2 used for wood dye adsorption. The characterized point zero charge, N CO adsorption isotherms, SEM-EDX, FTIR. surface areas were 471.4 319.5 m g −1 , respectively, 91% micropores. In this work, activated carbon (referred to as MCAC) was produced by microwave radiation assisted ZnCl2 activation using Malaysian coal (MC) a precursor. The Brunauer–Emmett–Teller findings indicate that the MCAC has relatively large surface area (798.18 m2/g) and mesoporous structure (average pore diameter of 3.67 nm). removal Methylene Violet (MV 2B) cationic dye model, employed investigate adsorption properties MCAC. A numerical desirability function in Box–Behnken design (BBD) optimize independent crucial variables follows: A: dose (0.02–0.1 g); B: pH (4–10); C: time (5–25 min). results equilibrium dynamic showed MV 2B followed Freundlich pseudo-second order models, respectively. maximum amount could adsorb (qmax) 134.1 mg/g. The utilization of agriculture waste-based adsorbents in the treatment real industrial wastewater represents an unexplored frontier with significant potential. In this study, cobalt ferrite-supported activated carbon derived from orange peels (CF40-AC) was used as a magnetic adsorbent for pulp and paper mill effluent (PPME). Detailed insights into properties functionalities CoFe2O4-AC were obtained through accurate characterization analysis that included X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning (SEM), Energy Dispersive (EDX), BET pore size histogram techniques. Both pure (AC) CF40-AC displayed excellent textural surface area (SBET) equal 2014 1345 m2.g-1, respectively. TEM SEM images display ferrites well dispersed on AC. Following process, evaluated its ability to remove several key pollutants PPME, including chemical oxygen demand (COD), total dissolved solids (TDS) turbidity. Moreover, various operational parameters, such pH, dosage, contact time, stirring rate, investigated achieve optimal contaminants removal rates. Remarkably, demonstrated highly efficient rates, 86.9%, 59,9% 93.1% COD, TDS turbidity, respectively, under conditions (pH 7, dose 0.4 gm, time 60 min, rate 150 rpm). composite material exhibits promising potential multiple applications reached 5 cycles without loss adsorption or functional over successive uses. These results favor sustainable solution addressing challenges industry, contributing both environmental protection resource conservation.
