To enhance the adsorption capacity of biochar (BC), herein a novel multifunction modified (SDMBC) was prepared by directly crosslinking nanomicelle sodium dodecyl sulfate/sapindus-saponin (SDS/SAP) composite system onto BC through simple, environmental friendly approach. Result showed that performance SDMBC has been greatly improved, compared with or using alone SDS and SAP, ability increased 48.83%, 29.50%, 36.44%, respectively, best effect appeared when concentration SAP to 0.8 CMC. exhibited high abilities 130.23, 108.43, 277.09 125.27, 112.78 mg/g for heavy metal ions lead Pb(II), Cadmium Cd(II) organic pollutants different chemical properties bisphenol A(BPA), Methylene blue (MB), P-nitrophenol (PNP), higher than most previously reported adsorbents, importantly, can still efficient removal capabilities even in binary competition. Subsequently, characterized Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Zeta potential (Zeta), it found more layered structure, richer functional groups amorphous structure BC, which are closely related improving its capacity. The behavior MB show process be spontaneous, propitious, endothermic, isotherms fitted Freundlich models well, pseudo-second-order describes kinetics adsorption, suggesting is multi-layer adsorption. little affected ionic strength coexisting substances, could remained rate over wide pH range, keep rates after 5 reuses. Based on FT-IR analysis, plausible mechanism proposed, including hydrogen bond, electrostatic attraction π-π bonding. Cost analysis manifests efficiency cheap eco-adsorbents commercial activated carbon, dosage required 99% fixed amount volumes effluent predicted. Seven machine learning (ML) were used predict (60 mg/L) SDMBC, Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP) model interpretation. Finding Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) performance, order feature importance as time> Ratio> pH> concentration> temperature. Thus, new eco-adsorbents, effectively remove various types pollutants, great application sewage treatment, while accurate ML prediction presented valuable advice designing adsorbents optimization operating conditions future.
