The study of adsorption kinetics is ubiquitous when reporting new adsorbent materials in the literature. information these tests provide are no doubt valuable, but conclusions drawn from kinetic models many times contradictory between papers. In this work, validity and meaning common reviewed literature dealing with their mathematical development, discussed. Sugarcane bagasse (SCB) is the fibrous lignocellulosic residue left over after crushing sugarcane to extract juice for sugar and ethanol production. In this review, a concise overview of existing thermochemical technologies production biochar from SCB its potential applications presented discussed. Some used so far in regard include pyrolysis, gasification, hydrothermal carbonization, torrefaction. However, pyrolysis was found be most widely among them. These processes can affected by several operating conditions such as temperature, heating rate, particle size, residence duration, with temperature being significant efficient variable influencing quality biochar. The yield reported literature ranged 14 % 56 %. Biomass and plastics are two of the most common municipal solid wastes globally that have continuously placed a burden on environment. It is therefore important they properly recycled. Thermochemical co-conversion offers valuable opportunity to recycle biomass simultaneously into biochar, which reduces time cost recycling them individually while producing material with wide range applications. This study review published literature discusses thermochemical co-processing plastic biochar. was observed co-pyrolysis co-hydrothermal carbonization commonly utilized technologies for this process. Used COVID-19 masks produce a large amount of garbage that frequently overwhelms waste management facilities, hence they are disposed improperly. It is imperative to develop processing technique harnesses disposable face create biofuel in order address the environmental problems caused by their disposal. In this study, biochar production through co-carbonization mask and biomass (Daniella oliveri leaves) using fixed-bed updraft reactor was investigated as means recycling wastes for sustainable environment. A hybrid with 40.20 wt% yield produced at peak temperature 350 °C, while 32.87 only high 279 °C. According sample analysis, biochar, which has specific surface area 397.8 m2/g, very porous numerous cracks fissures. The Fourier transform infrared analysis showed presence functional groups, mainly hydroxyl carbonyl co-carbonized mask, indicating possibility an adsorbent increase soil fertility.
