Abstract
Surfactants
are
used
for
a
variety
of
applications
as
emulsifiers,
solubilizers,
or
foaming
agents.
Their
intensive
production
and
use
in
pharmaceuticals,
cosmetics
agricultural
products
have
resulted
their
continuous
discharge
the
environment,
especially
via
wastewaters.
become
threat
to
living
organisms,
they
interact
with,
disrupt,
cell
membranes

terrestrial
organisms

threatened
by
these
emerging
contaminants.
In
this
context,
study
investigates
two
widely
nonionic
surfactants,
Tween-20
Triton
X-100
on
key
traits
fruit
fly
Drosophila
melanogaster.
We
assessed
toxicity
surfactants
viability,
development
time,
body
size
food
intake
flies.
The
results
revealed
that
both
induced
toxic
drosophila
flies
leading
decreased
delayed
lowered
consumption
at
highest
tested
concentrations.
For
all
tested,
appeared
more
than
Tween-20.
Both
proved
be
flies,
might
extend
other
invertebrates.
