Background
In

summarised
and
compared
findings
from
published
observational
studies
on
clinical
presentation
epidemiology

The
current
outbreak
of
monkeypox
(MPX)
infection
has
emerged
as
a
global
matter
concern
in
the
last
few
months.
MPX
is
zoonosis
caused
by
virus
(MPXV),
which
one
Orthopoxvirus
species.
Thus,
it
similar
to
smallpox
variola
virus,
and
vaccines
drugs
have
been
shown
be
protective
against
MPX.
Although
not
new
disease
rarely
fatal,
multi-country
unusual
because
occurring
countries
that
are
endemic
for
MPXV.
In
this
work,
we
reviewed
extensive
literature
available
on
MPXV
summarize
data
major
biological,
clinical
epidemiological
aspects
important
scientific
findings.
This
review
may
helpful
raising
awareness
transmission,
symptoms
signs,
prevention
measures.
It
also
interest
basis
performance
studies
further
understand
MPXV,
with
goal
combating

healthcare

Monkeypox
virus
(MPXV)
is
an
emerging
zoonotic
that
belongs
to
the
Orthopoxvirus
genus
and
presents
clinical
symptoms
similar
those
of
smallpox,
such
as
fever
vesicular-pustular
skin
lesions.
However,
differential
diagnosis
between
smallpox
monkeypox
does
not
cause
lymphadenopathy
but
generates
swelling
in
lymph
nodes.
Since
eradication
MPXV
has
been
identified
most
common
human
disease.
Despite
being
endemic
certain
regions
Africa,
current
outbreak,
which
began
early
2022,
spread
numerous
countries
worldwide,
raising
global
concern.
As
end
May
2023,
over
87,545
cases
141
deaths
have
reported,
with
non-endemic
countries,
primarily
due
human-to-human
transmission.
To
better
understand
this
threat,
review
overview
key
aspects
infection,
including
its
animal
reservoirs,
modes
transmission,
models,
epidemiology,

2022,
mutant
strains
of
mpox
(formerly
monkeypox)
virus
(MPXV)
have
been
rapidly
spreading
among
individuals
who
not
traveled
to
endemic
areas
in
multiple
locations,

Europe

the
United
States.

Mpox—formerly
monkeypox—is
a
re-emerging
zoonotic
virus
disease,
with
large
numbers
of
human
cases
reported
during
multi-country
outbreaks
in
2022.
The
close
similarities
clinical
symptoms
that
Mpox
shares
many
orthopoxvirus
(OPXV)
diseases
make
its
diagnosis
challenging,
requiring
laboratory
testing
for
confirmation.
This
review
focuses
on
the
diagnostic
methods
used

naturally
infected
humans
and
animal
reservoirs,
disease
prevalence
transmission,
signs,
currently
known
host
ranges.
Using
specific
search
terms,

to
2
September
2022,
we
identified
104
relevant
original
research
articles
case
reports
from
NCBI-PubMed

Scholar
databases
inclusion
study.
Our
analyses
observed
molecular
identification
techniques
are
overwhelmingly
being
current
diagnoses,
especially
real-time
PCR
(3982/7059
cases;

=

studies)
