Abstract This study centers on the crucial determination of mobilized friction angle between soil and various materials, including steel concrete, to enhance modeling soil-structure interaction. The primary objective current investigation was assess interfacial calcareous silica sands when interacting with concrete or surfaces. To achieve this, direct shear tests were conducted examine impacts relative density ( Dr ), surface roughness Rn shearing direction. test results reveal that strength sand surpasses considering a specific . Furthermore, interface both types escalates an increase in normal stress , higher values observed interactions plates. Notably, ratio (the interaction over pure angle) demonstrates minimal dependence type. most pronounced divergence is evident at maximum value, which increases alongside for siliceous sands. With increasing values, strength, contingent density, also rises. influence diminishes escalating roughness.
