Parainflammation in the Ocular System: Considerations on the Underlying Mechanisms and Treatment of Dry Eye Disease

The
transition
from
regulated
to
dysregulated
parainflammation
is
a
new
concept
that
needs
be
elucidated
clarify
the
pathogenesis
of
dry
eye
disease
(DED).
This
review
summarizes
recent
evidence
about
mechanisms
could
lead
parainflammation,
proposing
hypothesis
correlate
this
process
with
progression
chronic
inflammation.
A
group
European
experts
on
DED
participated
in
roundtable
discuss
role
most
common
ocular
diseases
regard
DED.
Starting
contents,
narrative

PubMed
