The use of non–precious metals for electrocatalytic hydrogen reaction (HER) is particularly important energy conservation and environmental protection. In this work, three new cobalt corroles containing o−, m−, p−nitrobenzyl (1, 2, 3) at the meso 10−position corrole macrocycle were synthesized, their evolution in organic neutral aqueous systems was also investigated. results show that these have significant catalytic HER activity both systems, efficiency follows 1 > 3 which indicates position nitro group can affect property complexes. phase, when using trifluoroacetic acid or p−toluenesulfonic as proton source, may undergo an EECC (E: electron transfer, C: coupling) pathway. a system, turnover frequency value up to 137.4 h−1 938 mV overpotential.
