ABSTRACT To investigate the effects of Pilates-based exercise programs on girls' quickness and strength. Conducted at a private Pilates studio in Kırıkkale, research involved 50 female students aged 9-10 years, with 25 experimental group control group. A 10-week training program included sessions twice week, focusing basic movements, balance, strength development. Quickness levels were assessed beginning end study using specific tests. was measured through short-distance running reaction tests, while by number repetitions various exercises resistance The findings indicated that positively impacted girls. Specifically, movements particularly effective enhancing muscle developing quickness. These results suggest can effectively contribute to physical development children. It is recommended educators coaches implement for children, considering benefits such exercises.

Football players require optimal nutrition and physical fitness to enhance their performance maintain health. Understanding the relationships among nutritional knowledge, dietary habits, health, substance use in athletes is essential for developing effective strategies. This study investigates these factors male football aged 16-33 years. The involved 60 from three teams Liga4Arad. A mixed-methods approach was used, incorporating a self-developed pilot questionnaire internationally validated instruments. reliability of confirmed using Guttman's λ2. assessed eating use, health parameters, including body fat percentage training frequency. Spearman's correlation used analyze data explore interrelationships between factors. It important note that this not previously specific context. Nutritional knowledge positively correlated with healthier habits (ρ = 0.675, p < 0.001). Intensive higher activity levels were both associated improved composition lower 0.341, 0.006). Supplement moderately alcohol consumption 0.548, 0.001) weakly smoking 0.348, 0.007). highlights strong relationship players, as well significant role frequent intense reducing percentages enhancing fitness. Additionally, findings suggest moderate association supplement consumption, underscoring need tailored interventions address its impact on players' behaviors performance.

Abstract High‐intensity interval training (HIIT) has gained attention as a potentially effective alternative to traditional exercise modalities for individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Previous studies have evaluated this strategy various regimens, comparator groups and outcomes, limiting the generalisability of findings. We performed novel umbrella review generate an up‐to‐date synthesis available evidence regarding effect HIIT on glycaemic control other clinically relevant cardiometabolic health outcomes in T2DM, compared moderate‐intensity continuous (MICT) and/or non‐exercise (CON). This followed Preferred Reporting Items Overviews Reviews guideline. Seven databases were searched until August 2024. Systematic reviews meta‐analyses comparing MICT CON included. Literature search, data extraction methodological quality assessment (A MeaSurement Tool Assess systematic [AMSTAR‐2]) conducted independently by two reviewers. Ten meta‐analyses, encompassing 76 primary 2954 unique participants, met inclusion criteria. The indicated that significantly improves glycosylated haemoglobin cardiorespiratory fitness (weighted mean difference [WMD]: −0.83% −0.39% 3.35–6.38 mL/kg/min) (WMD: −0.37% −0.07% 1.68–4.12 T2DM. is also improving parameters, including fasting blood glucose, insulin HOMA‐IR. Improvement body composition, lipid profiles pressure been observed following HIIT. Most received moderate low AMSTAR‐2 score. supports efficacious certain Our findings offer comprehensive basis may contribute informing physical activity recommendations incorporating into T2DM management strategies.

Abstract Background Recent data show a dramatic increase in non-communicable diseases developing countries, including cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes. Most of these may be preventable to some extent treatable by alterations physical activity. We investigated the correlations activity levels, according energy expenditure [measured metabolic equivalent minutes per week (METs x min/week)] with fasting glycaemia blood pressure, body compositions anthropometric variables participants from Bissau, Guinea-Bissau. Method The International Physical Activity Questionnaire was used assess levels activity, calculating METs min/week. These were subsequently divided into low, moderate or high categories healthy group participants. Fasting glucose, arterial mass index fat also assessed. Data analyzed using SPSS statistical software. Results 429 included sports health facilities around country. Of these, 187 highly active (> 3000 MET × min/ at least 1500 min/week) had mean age 26.8 ± 7.5 years. 76% (327/429) male 24% female (102/429). 4866.7 1241.2 min/week glucose 94.0 14.1 mg/dl. 4.1% (18/429) diabetes 12.8% (55/429) hypertension. Intense interval exercise training induces various physiological and metabolic adaptations related to performance health. For designing a program, the F.I.T.T. principle, referring frequency, intensity, time, type of exercise, can be used manipulate level stress in body, leading adaptations. Modifying these four parameters results wide range protocols that are safe effective for different populations including athletes individuals with chronic diseases. In this review, we present how manipulation components alter acute cardiorespiratory, metabolic, perceptual, affective responses intense training. From evidence, it appears duration bout recovery critical almost all responses, enabling periodization training, promoting optimal adherence. addition, considerable may achieved frequencies as low once or twice per week lower than maximal intensities, adding feasibility mode. Overall, by varying parameters, design an program tailored according needs abilities each individual, optimized prescription achieved.

Abstract The aim was to examine the acute effects of sprint exercise (SIT) on global gene expression in subcutaneous adipose tissue (AT) healthy subjects, enhance understanding how SIT influences body weight regulation. hypothesis that upregulates genes involved mitochondrial function and fat metabolism. A total 15 subjects performed three 30‐s all‐out sprints (SIT). Samples were collected from AT, skeletal muscle (SM) blood (brachial artery a AT vein) up min after last sprint. Results showed markers oxidative stress, such as purines hypoxanthine, xanthine uric acid, increased markedly by both vein. Purines also SM tissue. Differential analysis indicated decrease signaling for mitochondrial‐related pathways, including phosphorylation, electron transport, ATP synthesis, heat production uncoupling proteins, well fatty acid beta oxidation. This downregulation related metabolism suggests an early‐stage inhibition mitochondria, potentially protective mechanism against SIT‐induced stress.

Background: Although a palaeolithic diet promotes healthier food choices that aid in weight management and reduce cardiovascular risks, its effectiveness endurance sports is still debated due to typically low carbohydrate content. Objective: This study examined the impact of 6-week (PD-G) versus mixed (MD-G), both paired with Sprint interval training (SIT), on various metabolic performance-related parameters. Methods: Body composition, time trial (TT) performance (covered distance during 60-minute run 400-metre track) changes (respiratory exchange ratio [RER], substrate oxidation rates) (time at ventilatory threshold [VT] respiratory compensation point [RCP], maximum oxygen uptake (V̇O 2max ) exhaustion [TTE]) parameters ramp incremental running test were assessed 14 male athletes. Additionally, Gastrointestinal Quality Life index (GLQI) perceptual responses diets [visual analogue scale (VAS)] measured. Results: After 6 weeks, groups improved TTE covered TT, without significant group differences. In PD-G body weight, fat mass systolic diastolic blood pressure decreased. At rest, RER significantly decreased PD-G, tendency towards significance exercise, while rates not statistically rest throughout exercise test; contrast, MD-G exhibited smaller across these Conclusion: this investigation, combination SIT appeared have positive effects mass, utilization under resting conditions However, based current findings for metrics, cannot be recommended unreservedly healthy
