Abstract It is crucial to study how L2 learners use technology when examining the lifespan in pedagogy. Therefore, we adopted Gartner’s hype cycles investigate of CALL from perspectives EFL learners. To this end, utilized an explanatory narrative design and gathered analysed 87 regarding using autobiographical narratives semi-structured interviews. The results deductive thematic analysis presented motivating demotivating factors that were asserted affect learners’ uptake technologies. Moreover, findings revealed had fallacies about first stages for learning tended reduce those later on. it can be concluded start their with some misconceptions stemming CALL, continue by facing originating they have already committed, finalise exploring features help them avoid fallacies. has implications shorten time reaching awareness zone

In their daily work life, teachers experience various situations in which they need to regulate emotions. Possible factors that influence the use of different emotion regulation strategies include emotions and context experienced. Previous research mainly investigated teachers' at a single strategy level without considering multiple use, emotions, situational aspects well-being. This study aimed explore life. Furthermore, we examined specific well-being linked behaviour. total, 165 (mean age 43.31 years; 83.6% female) participated diary for two weeks. We assessed eight strategies, joy anger, valence situation emotional exhaustion. The data were analysed using multilevel latent profile analyses. found combinations (Level 1) person-level 2). At person-level, only few (17.4%) able flexibly apply situations, while most regulated predominantly with set strategies. Experiencing joy, as well situation, mattered level. Emotional exhaustion was not probability. findings highlight complexity regulation, revealing diverse patterns profiles influenced by factors, underscoring limited flexibility among teachers.

In this study, we propose an ecological model of teacher agency and emotional vulnerability that draws on epistemological roots these two constructs to capture historico-personal, socio-organizational, prospective levels professionalism. We then ontologically apply the exploring transnational language teachers' in context Turkey. Framing study within a narrative inquiry methodology, collected data from open-ended questionnaires, frames, semi-structured interviews. Data analyses revealed personal emotions, embodied agencies, vulnerabilities were profoundly shaped by individual histories, contextual discourses, sociocultural particularities. The findings unpack novel dimensions vulnerability, attesting their interconnection, especially transnationalism. conclude with implications for educators reduce pressure teachers render agencies as rooted effective professional growth, rather than being defined excessive turn restrict agencies.
