Abstract Background: Loneliness is a major factor hindering the health of migrants. "Migrant pandemic precarity" describes the specific consequences and vulnerabilities experienced by migrants during COVID-19 pandemic. Despite their precarity, adopted some resilient behaviors. Utilizing resilience theory, our study explored how in South Africa managed to cope with heightened these behaviors can provide insights into addressing health inequities experience this population. We conducted an interpretive phenomenological analysis understand key challenges of migrant populations (2019-2022) resourceful they became overcoming challenges. Using a purposive sampling approach, we 20 semi-structured interviews from other African countries, including asylum seekers, refugees, permit holders, undocumented two provinces. Loneliness and social isolation have gained increasing attention as significant public health concerns, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study explores psychological, social, demographic dimensions of loneliness, emphasizing its impact on mental well-being. A systematic literature review was conducted using multiple academic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Web Science. The findings confirm that loneliness is strongly associated with depression, anxiety, psychological distress, young women older adults being particularly vulnerable. Digital technology has played a dual role, offering both support and, in some cases, reinforcing disconnection.
