Abstract
Eveningness,
a
preference
for
later
sleep
and
rise
times,
has
been
associated
with
number
of
negative
outcomes
in
terms
both
physical
mental
health.
A
large
body
evidence
links
eveningness
to
Major
Depressive
Disorder
(MDD).
However,
date,
quantifying
this
association
is
limited.
The
current
meta-analysis
included
43
effect
sizes
from
total
27,996
participants.
Using
random-effects
model
it
was
demonstrated
that
small
size

Importance
Observational

Abstract
Sleep
and
mental
health
are
intrinsically
intertwined,
but
not
every
individual
with
problems
sleeping
develops
a
disorder.
This
study
examined
the
association
among
chronotypes,
resilience,
sleep
quality
symptoms
amongst
otherwise
healthy
individuals.
Two
hundred
adults
(
M
age
=
27.75
±
5.11,
68%
female)
no
previous
diagnosis
of
illness
were
recruited
filled
in
set
questionnaires
measuring
quality,
depression
anxiety
symptoms.
The
findings
from
path
analysis
showed
that
morning
type
had
statistically
significant
direct
effect
on
range
indices.
These
included
better
subjective
shortened
latency,
fewer
daytime
dysfunctions,
as
well
higher
level
resilience.
