Water Infrastructure (WI), incorporating water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems, is vulnerable to climate change impacts that can disrupt their functionality; thus, WI needs be adapted change. In 2021, the European Commission (EC) released technical guidelines on “Climate-proofing Infrastructure” include mitigation adaptation strategies; these guidelines, relevant guides followed, focus mainly aspects without examining sufficiently engineering features of are described in hydro-environmental research; this research vast includes various terminologies methods for all adaptation. The procedure improved when known guidelines’ developers. present work, facilitate knowledge transfer, we typologize via its classification into five categories based EC then perform a literature review as follows: firstly, introduce hazards systems identify most common them Mediterranean region classify seven groups; then, main each categories, discuss future finally, summarize conclusions.

We studied the significance of stakeholder engagement in climate change adaptation within context coastal resilience. Our approach aimed to enhance collaboration environmental planning processes by leveraging modeling tools facilitate learning about complexity socioecological system. A comprehensive questionnaire survey was conducted using Google Forms. The included clear instructions and structured response formats, aiming gather perspectives on measures define action thresholds uncertainties. total 47 responses were received consulting firm professionals, freelance engineers, local authority port researchers, university professors field management. data analyzed statistical methods SPSS identify key insights patterns. findings offer valuable into effectiveness measures, threshold perceptions for initiating actions, dynamics perspectives. Therefore, importance incorporating diverse efforts is highlighted. As answers tend vary different occupations, urge future decision-making procedures By bridging gap between input this study demonstrates potential participatory approaches enhancing resilience fostering sustainable development regions vulnerable change.
