This
paper
presents
the
outcomes
of
"Soundscape
Attributes
Translation
Project"
(SATP),
an
international
initiative
addressing
critical
research
gap
in
soundscape
descriptors
translations
for
cross-cultural
studies.
Focusing

eighteen
languages
–
namely:
Arabic,
Chinese,
Croatian,
Dutch,
English,
French,
German,
Greek,
Indonesian,
Italian,
Japanese,
Korean,
Malay,
Portuguese,

a
four-step
procedure
to
evaluate

Abstract
In
protected
natural
areas
(PNAs),
at
popular
scenic
spots,
visitors
often
contribute
to
noise
pollution
through
their
behaviour.
Decibel-based
sensors
don't
fully
capture
this,

mixed-methods
framework,
based
on
the

tested
in
four
European
PNAs.
