Pseudanabaena foetida, a filamentous cyanobacterium, is highly sensitive to temperature and light intensity. This study explores its oxidative stress responses under diurnal intensities in variations, utilizing hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) normalized optical density (OD730) levels (H2O2/OD730) as biomarker. The adequate P. foetida cells were distributed three incubators for 22 days at 30 °C, 20 10 °C. Light intensity varied over the course of day, increasing from morning maximum noon, followed by gradual decrease until evening. Measurements H2O2, protein, chlorophyll (Chl a), catalase (CAT) activity carried out every hours, starting 6:00 ending 21:00. Protein concentration Chl increased between 12:00 15:00 temperature. CAT, H2O2/OD730 decreased afterwards each CAT was directly proportional foetida’s H2O2 or cell biomass (H2O2/OD730), which indicates defense mechanism. reduced (30 °C °C) significantly impactful on concentration, protein content. model, based biomass, provides valuable insights into different temperatures, with implications understanding climate change.

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), a common oxidant present in the environment, food, and biological systems, has wide-ranging applications. While H2O2 is generally considered non-toxic, prolonged or repeated exposure to high concentrations can be harmful, making its accurate detection crucial environmental monitoring, food safety, healthcare, other fields. This review delves into recent advancements methods, with particular focus on chemosensors. We comprehensively summarize fundamental principles of various chemosensor (e.g., colorimetric, fluorescence, chemiluminescence, electrochemical, chemiresistive approaches), active materials, diverse Additionally, we discuss current challenges future prospects this field, emphasizing need for innovative materials advanced sensing technologies meet growing demand highly sensitive, accurate, reliable, real-time, cost-effective solutions.
