ABSTRACT In autonomous vehicles (AVs), intricate functional‐level couplings exist among the components. Accidents can occur even when all functions are operating normally, as subtle performance variabilities in these aggregate through couplings, leading to functional resonance. The aim of this study is identify, analyze and quantitatively assess safety issues caused by complex interactions AVs propose appropriate risk management strategies improve vehicle safety. Commonly used modern methods assessment, such system‐theoretical process analysis accident mapping, struggle capture resonance lack quantitative analysis. To end, paper proposes a assessment method that integrates (FRAM) with Bayesian network (BN) reveal quantify risks within AVs. Initially, FRAM model constructed characterize function system, which subsequently aggregated into chains identify potential hazards. Then, develop BN for system risk. A case an automatic emergency braking (AEB) on open‐source conducted verify its effectiveness. results demonstrate proposed approach not only identifies but also effectively quantifies AEB system.

Dempster-Shafer evidence theory (DSET) stands out as a mathematical model for handling imperfect data, garnering significant interest across various domains. However, notable limitation of DSET is Dempster's rule, which can lead to counterintuitive outcomes in cases highly conflicting evidence. To mitigate this issue, paper introduces novel reinforced belief logarithmic similarity measure ( $\mathcal {RBLSM}$ ), assesses discrepancies between the evidences by incorporating both and plausibility functions. exhibits several intriguing properties including boundedness, symmetry, non-degeneracy, making it robust tool analysis. Furthermore, we develop new multisensor information fusion method based on . Recently, Zhang and Shang introduced modifications to the concept of fractional entropy proved some properties based on inverse Mittag-Leffler function (MLF). Debris flow risk assessment can provide some reference for debris prevention and control projects. In assessment, researchers often only focus on the impact of objective or subjective indicators. For this purpose, paper proposed a weight calculation method based t-distribution linear programming optimization algorithm (LPOA). Taking 72 mudslides in Beichuan County as an example, used analytic hierarchy process (AHP), entropy (EWM) variation coefficient (VCM) to obtain initial weights. Based weights, intervals with different confidence levels were obtained by t-distribution. Subsequently, final weights LOPA 90% interval. Finally, calculate score each flow, thus delineating level flow. The results showed that paper’s avoid overemphasizing importance particular indicator compared EWM VCM. contrast, VCM ignored effect frequency risk. flows mainly dominated moderate light risks.
