This study is an attempt to assess the influence of oil storage depot discharges on proximate water sources in Ibadan, southwest Nigeria. Fifteen priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were examined a total 15 samples (10 groundwater +4 surface samples) utilizing gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, after extraction waters with dichloromethane and clean-up extracts. Results revealed that values overall PAHs (GW) (SW) varied from 0.01 3.45 mg/L (mean = 0.42 mg/L) 0.09 0.05 mg/L), correspondingly.
