Abstract The present paper focuses on the antecedents of solidarity behavior towards Ukrainian refugees, specifically examining role subjective uncertainty generated in public opinion by aggression Ukraine feelings compassion and perceptions refugees as a threat. Based pooled data from six representative samples collected different waves during first months Russian army’s invasion among sample adult Italian citizens ( N = 6,063), study provided support for intensification hypothesis, suggesting that can act an affective amplifier. Indeed, results showed increased threat (acting its emotional component, i.e., anxiety), but also compassion, which is main driver solidarity. Moreover, seemed to reduce (perceived) posed economic, cultural, security, or political level. pattern relationships tested model proved be stable across areas country 6 invasion, empathic concern suffering population under attack did not significantly diminish effects over period considered.

Abstract The diffusion of AI and big data is reshaping decision-making processes by increasing the amount information that supports decisions, while reducing direct interaction with empirical evidence. This paradigm shift introduces new sources uncertainty, as limited observability results in ambiguity a lack interpretability. need for proper analysis data-driven strategies motivates search models can describe this type bounded access to knowledge. This contribution presents novel theoretical model uncertainty knowledge representation its transfer mediated agents. We provide dynamical description states endowing our structure compare combine them. Specifically, an update represented through combinations, explainability based on consistency different dimensional representations. look at inequivalent representations terms multiplicity inferences, preference relations, measures. Furthermore, we define formal analogy two scenarios illustrate non-classical (Ellsberg’s model) reasoning about other agents observing (Wigner’s Friend). Finally, discuss some implications proposed strategies, special attention under business value dimensions design measurement tools their assessment.

Abstract In the context of using structural equation modelling to develop economic and social indicators, a debate regarding choice measurement modes for theoretical constructs is becoming very important issue, with conceptual practical implications. The nature each construct, which can be defined as reflective or formative, mainly based on considerations, but confirmatory tetrad analysis (CTA) support decisions about model specification. One flexible approach carrying out CTA involves multiple hypothesis testing, also provides relevant information empirical data guide construction composite indicators. This prompts deeper investigation effects correction methods derived from tests, special attention error control statistical power. this study, we explore properties six procedures, in particular well-known Bonferroni Benjamini–Hochberg corrections, various simulation scenarios real applications. We find that, respect Benjamini–Hochberg, too conservative has lower power, especially small sample sizes many manifest variables.

Abstract In recent years, global events have redefined working life, stimulating new organizational models. This work focuses on job crafting, which is considered the way to improve relationship between some variables and other individual such as identification satisfaction with communication, both of are crucial achieving sustainable levels well-being. The study examines role latent constructs that can promote adaptive responses well their relations. particular, we focus in promoting responses, including increase structural resources, challenging demands, social resources strategies communication. analysis carried out using robust statistical techniques suited causal relations abstract constructs. Specifically, after Confirmatory Composite Analysis (CCA-PLS) evaluate quality data collected, a higher order mediation model, based partial least squares equation modeling (PLS-SEM), was performed test crafting. addition, prioritize importance–performance map (IPMA) relevance performance each construct this model. results show identification, corresponding high sense belonging, communication at all through
