In order to reduce the enormous costs of photocatalytic processes, development new photocatalysts sensitive visible light constitutes a promising strategy boost efficiency this method in water treatment. paper, strontium cobaltite nanoparticles (SrCo 2 O 4 NPs) were shaped by simple, ecological and economical methods using cobalt nitrates as precursor freshly isolated chicken egg white capping agents. The crystalline product SrCo NPs was characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) Ultraviolet–Visible (UV–Vis) studies. -catalyzed Congo red (CR) degradation under is investigated. XRD analysis showed that sample indeed crystallized cubic spinel structure (space group Fd3m). average size estimated be ∼28[Formula: see text]nm. FT-IR spectrum shows two bands at 620 573[Formula: text][Formula: text], which are characteristic structure. optical band gap energy synthesized photocatalyst from UV–Visible 2.07 3.48[Formula: text]eV. developed exhibits significant RC an acidic medium with 97% dye mineralized after 5[Formula: text]h.
