The Impact of AI on Elderly Inmates in Central Prison

This study investigates the impact of digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on prison administration, criminal records, offenders' re-entry, particularly elderly convicts. International research in countries like Australia, Japan, Sweden, Canada, France, UK highlights increasing challenges posed by ageing populations. The study, conducted central prisons Tamil Nadu, India, employed a descriptive design purposive sampling method, involving 259 participants across five jails. Utilizing qualitative quantitative analysis methods, including SPSS software, identifies post-release faced inmates society workplace, emphasizing issues diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice. It concludes with insights into coping strategies adopted older offenders to navigate these challenges, underscoring need for societal understanding support their successful reintegration.
