Abstract In our study’s scenario, flexible films were fabricated from TEMPO-oxidized cellulose nanofibers and silver selenide (CNF/Ag 2 Se) as efficient membranes for the degradation of methylene blue (MB). Different concentrations Ag Se particles in situ prepared presence CNF. The in-situ synthesis nanoparticles CNF was reported technique formation submicrosize with a narrow size distribution homogeneous dispersion onto TEM analysis revealed that had uniform width diameter, while XRD demonstrated single-phase orthorhombic β-Ag formation. 3D-FESEM showed tiny root measurer values 28, 30, 32.56 nm polymeric 2.5, 5, 10% Se-filled Polymeric visible-driven-light photocatalytic activity because band gap fell 4.61 eV (UV area) to 2.71 (visible region). composite’s performance assessed by MB degradation. CNF/Ag maximal under simulated sunlight 60 min, pH 9, 3 g/L composite weight. factorial design statistical dye photodegradation is mostly affected irradiation time concentration. Environmental, social, economic factors are all considered, making this study suitable implementing photocatalysis large-scale water treatment systems, which key component sustainability.
