Abstract Employing a mixed postqualitative methods approach, this article examines the concept of reading imaginaries in public library events three cases where children read with robots, dogs, and drag performers. Using critical analytical tools sociotechnical matters care , we regard our as containers for resolving societal problems, explore how they contain expectations about literacy postdigital ecologies. The practices observed case studies transcend digital technologies, encompassing broader politically charged issues importance situating hype fear surrounding emerging such AI, within more comprehensive far-reaching framework. As concerns over privacy, data flows, security increasingly extend to analog technologies books, curriculum content, embodiment educators, mediated discourse continues play significant role shaping these dynamics.
