Abstract Climate change is a global challenge. Even though climate affects all countries, less-developed countries and poor peasant farmers are especially at risk have difficulty adapting. Less-developed nations home to an estimated 500 million small-scale farms, who provide sustenance for approximately two billion people. In addition, it that these small farms produce nearly 80 per cent of the food consumed in Asia Sub-Saharan Africa. Existing literature finds Africa particularly susceptible effects fluctuation change, including rising sea levels, melting glaciers, threatened water supplies, leading decreased agricultural output, increasing insecurity, diminished biodiversity, intensifying erosion, drought, flood. Africa, smallholder depend on agriculture, which relies timely rainfall, thus they increasingly experience consequences change. This chapter reviews focusing their perceptions adaptation techniques. We also explore how various factors affect farmers’ strategies. Finally, we discuss need improve awareness capacity. Although African perceive differently, review reveals some views common. Most observe changes temperature rainfall patterns area. They report experiencing floods droughts decreasing crop production. Diversification crops, changing planting drought-resistant incorporating livestock into production, shifting time operations, homestead gardening, irrigation, engaging mixed farming, migration common strategies reported countries. found household-related (gender, age, education, marital status, family size, etc.), farm-related (farming experience, size farm, institutional (access information, extension contact, as well other (participation social group, training, etc.) affecting local level among farmers. contend “front-liners” adapting government agencies national international organizations should continue efforts support them.
