Abstract Human dynamics research has undergone a significant transformation over the past decade, driven by interdisciplinary collaboration and technological innovation. This opinion paper examines evolution of field in ten years, focusing on its integration GIScience (Geographic Information Science), social science, public health to tackle spatial societal challenges such as urban sustainability, disaster response, epidemics. Key advancements include adoption living structure theory, which redefines space dynamic interconnected entity linked human well-being ecological application cutting-edge technologies like GeoAI (Geospatial Artificial Intelligence) digital twins for adaptive modeling informed decision-making. Despite these advancements, persist, including incomplete data, mismatched scales, barriers equitable access geospatial information. Addressing issues necessitates innovative approaches multiscale modeling, open data platforms, inclusive methodologies. Increased funding opportunities offer pathways accelerating translational research. By integrating advanced theories, user-centered technologies, collaborative frameworks, is poised transform systems into sustainable, resilient, environments. paradigm shift underscores importance ethical considerations inclusivity, offering holistic approach that aligns with needs.
