ABSTRACT
A

education
ecosystem

Abstract
The
discourses
educators
use
have
power.
Teacher
talk
positions
students
and
builds
storylines
in
speech
acts
which
speak
to
larger
cultural
narratives
norms.
This
article
explores
positioning
of
equity
throughout
emergency
online
schooling
revealing
a
storyline
where
feel
they
carry
the
burden
increasing
social
inequity
while
simultaneously
often
themselves
helpless
or
extremely
limited
system
view
as
unchanging
unsupportive.
Resulting,
often,
ascribing
neoliberal
bootstrap’s
theory
education
learners
are
expected
succeed
through
rugged
individualism
perceived
meritocracy
only
serves
further
ingratiate
inequities.
Moreover,
educators’
selves
illustrate
another
crisis
began
well
before
pandemic,
disempowerment
deprofessionalization
burnout
shortages
that
it
helps
fuel.
