Abstract The global trend of environmental degradation, marked by escalating carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions and expanding ecological footprints, poses a significant risk to the planet leads warming. This decline in environment is primarily attributed extensive use non-renewable energy sources substantial economic activities. study investigates dynamic impact (coal, gas, oil), renewable energy, growth, capital formation on CO footprint Indonesia spanning from 1965–2022. Employing Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS), (DOLS), robustness test with Canonical Cointegrating Regression (CCR) techniques, we seek establish long-term associations among studied variables. Preliminary findings, supported our primary models, reveal that every increase coal gas directly results higher but does not affect footprints. Conversely, oil affects rise footprints emissions. Meanwhile, will reduce both consequently enhancing Indonesia's quality. Furthermore, increasing growth footprint, while reduces footprint. Granger causality showed unidirectional also revealed bidirectional between energy. clarifies patterns provides policymakers recommendations for maintaining sustainability, including investing transitioning away given pressing climate challenges goal achieving neutrality.

Global climate change triggered by the escalating carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions resulting from heightened economic expansion and consumption of energy represents foremost environmental concern in contemporary global context. China is accountable for nearly 27% total CO2 emissions, making it largest emitter worldwide. This study explores consequences outgrowth, fossil fuel, renewable utilization on China's CO2. The utilized an autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model to analyze annual data 1965 2022. ARDL bounds test results indicate presence long-term cointegration among variables. empirical specify that a 1% growth fuels economy leads 4.97% 0.58% emissions. In short term, these increases amount 2.42% 1.21%, respectively. Conversely, enhancement could result reduction 1.39%, whereas would be 0.50%. proposes policy suggestions attainment sustainable development neutrality.

In emerging economies like Kuwait, tourism funds national development and sustains local livelihoods. The rapid rise of in several nations may have serious environmental effects due to increased energy usage that increases carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions worsening global warming. Due climate change's growing on the environment, efforts been made by numerous countries worldwide achieve neutrality sustainability. Moreover, effective production prediction is crucial establish an equilibrium between traditional clean sources. However, there a research gap investigating impacts within framework energy-economy-environment nexus Kuwait's context propelled this pioneering investigation. present study's objective determine how economic growth, consumption, affect Kuwait. This study analyzes time series data from 1995 2019 using autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) method analyzed components' relationships, allowing for long-term short-term dynamics. results show increasing tourist arrivals increase CO2 article proposes policies Kuwait expanding renewable use promoting sustainable boost economy.

Forests are an important part of natural resources and play role in carbon sinks. We measured sinks provincial forest parks using data from four inventory surveys China the stock expansion method. Carbon emissions tourism were also estimated energy statistics park data. On this basis, spatial analysis was used to summarize temporal evolution balance influencing factors. The results show following: (1) With passage time, all provinces have increased different degrees, national 1,071,390.231 (million tons) 2003 286,255,829.7 2018; spatially, distribution is uneven, with overall high south low north, a east west. (2) sink showed trend gradual growth spatially formed pattern northeast southwest, which consistent China. (3) For emissions, total number tourists, income, playing roads significant factors, baseline regression coefficients 0.595, 0.433, 0.799, respectively, while for sinks, employees can certain positive coefficient being 1.533.

Abstract Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), whose atmospheric volume has been increasing, is the principal greenhouse gas (GHG) that causes global warming and climate change. Climate change from increasing gases (GHGs) broad health environmental influences. Human-emitted GHGs constitute a significant cause of warming. The main objective this article to assess influence technological innovation, economic growth, fossil energy use, renewable consumption, globalisation on CO emissions Es) in South Africa over observation period 1990–2020. Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares (DOLS) estimator was implemented examine relationship between constituents. study results indicate boost Es, whereas consumption reduces Es. output canonical cointegrating regression fully modified least squares estimators also supports DOLS estimator. We concluded that, Africa, rise an upsurge In contrast, increase leads reduction This research work contributes discourse Es African context. recommends policymakers should design policies foster formation low-carbon country, energy, implementation environment-friendly innovations reduce use energy. Geopolitical tensions, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict, ongoing Middle-Eastern wars, and post-Cold War dynamics between USA Russia, have contributed to significant global political instability. These risks disrupt economic growth, destabilize energy supply chains, foster uncertainty, often prioritizing security over environmental sustainability. Existing literature inadequately addresses how geopolitical interact with sustainability, particularly within developed economies like Canada. To bridge this gap, study examines role of per capita income on outcomes under Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) framework, explicitly incorporating as a critical determinant. Using Canadian time series data spanning from 1980 2022, research employs autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) estimation technique explore short- long-term cointegrating relationships among key variables, consumption, trade openness, foreign direct investment (FDI), ICT development, financial development. The findings confirm inverted U-shaped EKC hypothesis for Canada, indicating that growth initially exacerbates carbon emissions (CO2) before leading improvements at higher levels. are found positively contribute CO2 emissions, emphasizing their barrier achieving validate robustness, Kernel Regularized Least Squares (KRLS) machine learning approach is employed, confirming consistency results. Additionally, Toda-Yamamoto causality test identifies directional causal variables. Policy recommendations emphasize need Canada implement targeted strategies mitigate impact outcomes. Specifically, advocates for: (1) diversifying sources reduce reliance geopolitically sensitive regions, (2) investing in renewable technologies ensure sustainable (3) enhancing policies prioritize low-carbon technologies.
