Resident physicians (residents) experiencing prolonged workplace stress are at risk of developing mental health symptoms. Creating novel, unobtrusive measures resilience would provide an accessible approach to evaluate symptom susceptibility without the perceived stigma formal assessments. One of the gaps in leisure research is lack culturally contextualized leisure-generated meanings scales, and role culture acculturation has been a neglected area research.This study involves both developing Leisure Adaptation Meanings Scale (LAMS).Leisure adaptation meaning means domain-specific during coping with adapting to life challenges.Using an exploratory factor analysis 120 Korean immigrants western Canadian city, LAMS alpha .93 was found consist five factors: (a) companionship, (b) adjustment, (c) palliative coping, (d) mood enhancement, (e) rejuvenation.The adds existing knowledge about from cross-cultural perspective.
