Background: Paullinia cupana Kunth, popularly known as guarana, a native Amazonian shrub cultivated by the Sateré-Mawé ethnic group, has been used in traditional medicine for various purposes, including stimulant and therapeutic actions, due to its chemical composition, which is rich bioactive compounds. This study explored reductive potential of guarana with nanobiotechnology aimed synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using aqueous extract leaves collected during dry rainy seasons, assessing their biological catalytic activities. Methods: The AgNPs were synthesized water bath at 70 °C three hours then characterized techniques such UV-Vis spectroscopy, DLS, zeta potential, MET, NTA, EDX had effects on systems assessed vitro, well tests indicating probable influence time when plant material was properties nanostructures. Results: an average diameter between 39.33 126.2 nm, spherical morphology, absorption bands 410 450 high colloidal stability over two years. results showed antibacterial activity against all species tested, remarkable antioxidant action DPPH ABTS free radicals, same way leaf extracts P. cupana, addition cytotoxic cancerous (A431 A549) non-cancerous (HaCaT HNTMC) cells. active promastigote forms Leishmania (Leishmania) amazonensis while not affecting viability macrophages, from LC50 LC90 values, more effective than metal salt solution controlling Aedes aegypti larvae pupae. We also reported that degradation organic dyes methylene blue (MB) methyl orange (MO) 90% after 40 or 14 min, respectively. Conclusions: Thus, our support seasonal produce diverse application possibilities health, industrial, environmental sectors.

The green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) can be developed using safe and environmentally friendly routes, replace potentially toxic chemical methods, increase the scale production. This study aimed to synthesize AgNPs from aqueous extracts guarana (Paullinia cupana) leaves flowers, collected in different seasons year, as a source active biomolecules capable reducing ions (Ag+) promoting stabilization colloidal (Ag0). plant were characterized regarding their metabolic composition by liquid chromatography coupled high-resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC-HRMS/MS), phenolic compound content, antioxidant potential against free radicals. synthesized UV/Vis spectrophotometry, dynamic light scattering (DLS), nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX). results demonstrated that characterization indicated presence secondary metabolites many classes compounds studied studied, but alkaloids flavonoids predominant, which are widely recognized for capabilities. It was possible notice subtle changes properties nanostructures depending on parameters such seasonality part used, with showing surface plasmon resonance bands between 410 420 nm leaf extract 440 460 when prepared flower extract. Overall, average hydrodynamic diameters similar among samples (61.98 101.6 nm). Polydispersity index remained range 0.2 0.4, indicating stability did not change storage time. Zeta above −30 mV after one month analysis, is adequate biological applications. TEM images showed 40.72 48.85 particles morphologies. EDX content weight 24.06 28.81%. exhibited antimicrobial efficacy various pathogenic microorganisms clinical environmental interest, MIC values 2.12 21.25 µg/mL, close those described MBC values. Therefore, our revealed use native species Brazilian biodiversity combined nanotechnology produce agents.
