The detection of endogenous phenolic compounds (EPs) in food is great significance elucidating their bioactivity and health effects. Here, a novel bifunctional vanillic acid-Cu (VA-Cu) nanozyme with peroxidase-like laccase-like activities was successfully prepared. peroxidase mimic behavior VA-Cu can catalyze 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) to generate oxidized TMB (oxTMB). Owing the high reducing power EPs, this process be inhibited, degree inhibition increases increase reaction time. Abstract Pesticides are widely used for pest control to promote sustained and stable growth of agricultural production. However, indiscriminate pesticide usage poses a great threat environmental human health. In recent years, nanotechnology has shown the ability increase performance conventional pesticides potential improving adhesion crop foliage, solubility, stability, targeted delivery, so forth. This review discusses two types nanopesticides, namely, carrier‐free nanopesticides carrier‐based that can precisely release necessary sufficient amounts active ingredients. At first, basic characterization preparation methods these distinct briefly summarized. Subsequently, current applications future perspectives on scientific examples strategies promoting efficacy reducing risks were also described. Overall, higher yields lay foundation sustainable agriculture global food security.
