Abstract The analysis of citation patterns in the scholarly landscape data literacy using collected from Scopus and analysed Vosviewer reveals significant findings. Initially, 997 documents were identified, averaging 52 per year, but a criterion 10 citations document narrowed down subset to 205 documents, indicating substantial attention. Among these, only 81 interconnected found, suggesting their pivotal role shaping discourse. Notably, Prado’s (2013) work on integrating into education emerged as highly influential. Key journals conference proceedings such ACM International Conference Proceeding Series Teachers College Record identified influential sources. Co-citation highlighted notable authors like Mandinach, d’Ignazio, Koltay, underlining contributions. Seminal works by Mandinach Gummer educator preparation underscored interdisciplinary nature literacy. The integration of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented (AR) technologies into library presents a transformative opportunity to enhance user experiences, promote innovative learning, improve access information. purpose this research is examine the state on virtual augmented reality in including understanding hotspots new directions. study was conducted using bibliometrics approach based data collected from Scopus database. retrieval yielded 4001 items covered period 1973 2023. years 2020–2023 mark most substantial activity. keywords cluster four categories namely - technological components applications, computational methods, human social aspects VR/AR use, interface interaction. are (1) Core Technologies, (2) Applications, (3) Research Methodologies Trends while three emerging areas Emerging Technologies Methods, Class 2: User Interaction Interface Design, 3: Niche Applications Libraries.
