ABSTRACT Breast cancer has seriously affected women's physical and mental health. This investigation aims at screening differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in breast illuminating the potential biological functions of Leiomodin 1 (LMOD1) its behind mechanisms against cancer. The common DEGs (co‐DEGs) between GSE22820 GSE29431 data sets pivotal were screened out using bioinformatics methods. roles LMOD1 overexpression on malignant phenotypes validated by functional assays impact fatty acid synthesis was also elucidated cell lines. Additionally, colivelin, a STAT3 activator, applied for further investigating role JAK2/STAT3 pathway vitro. A total 208 co‐DEGs 5 focal through analysis, downregulated retarded proliferative, migratory, invasive capabilities cells. suppressed synthesis. Furthermore, inhibitory effects cells with partially abolished after colivelin treatment. could impede Our study highlighted exerted as tumor‐suppressive cancer, which correlated restraining activation.

Abstract Background Ultrasound-guided percutaneous cryoablation (PCA) for early-stage breast cancer (ESBC) can be performed under local anesthesia in an outpatient clinic. This study continues a pilot stage to examine control, safety, patient quality of life (QoL), satisfaction and cosmetic outcomes ESBC. Methods PCA was patients with primary ESBC, followed by radiation endocrine therapies. Oncologic were examined imaging (mammography, ultrasound, MRI) at baseline 1, 6, 12, 24, 36, 60 months post-cryoablation. EQ-VAS, EQ-5D-5L, subjective Moiré topography used measure health-related QoL outcomes. Results Eighteen patients, mean aged 59.0 ± 9.0 years, tumor size 9.8 2.3 mm, ER + , PR (17/18), HER2-, Ki67 < 20% (15/18), underwent 44.3 months. No serious adverse events reported, no had recurrence or distant metastasis the 5-year follow-up. Cosmetic outcomes, level, all improved Five-year average reduction rates cryolesion long, short, depth diameters, on US, 61.3%, 42.3%, 22.8%, respectively, compared 86.2% volume rate MRI. The correlation coefficient between MRI US measurement criteria highest long diameter. During follow-up, calcification treated area observed 13/18 cases. Conclusion Cryoablation ESBC is effective safe procedure excellent QoL. contributes growing evidence supporting as potential standard treatment given compliance pre-defined selection criteria.

Abstract Background The ICE3 trial evaluated the safety and efficacy of cryoablation in women aged ≥60 years with low-risk, early-stage breast cancers, aiming to provide a non-operative treatment option avoid potential surgical risks. This study presents 5-year follow-up results. Methods is an Institutional Review Board-approved, prospective, multicentered, non-randomized including ≥ 60 age unifocal, ultrasound visible, invasive ductal carcinoma ≤ 1.5 cm size, histologic grade 1–2, hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2)-negative. primary endpoint ipsilateral tumor recurrence (IBTR) was based on Kaplan–Meier estimates. Results Overall, 194 patients meeting eligibility received successful per protocol were included for analysis. mean 74.9 (55–94) size 7.4 mm transverse (2.8–14.0 mm) 8.1 sagittal (2.5–14.9 mm). With period 54.16 months, IBTR rate at 5 4.3% cancer survival 96.7%. Of 124 who endocrine therapy only, 3.7%. No serious device-related adverse events reported. Minor (88.2%) moderate (9.6%) mild severity resolved without residual effects. Quality-of-life score demonstrated statistically significant improvement ( p < 0.001) distress 6 months as compared baseline. Conclusions Breast promising alternative surgery selected patients, offering benefits minimally procedure minimal Further studies are encouraged confirm viable excision low-risk patients.

Objective. To compare histological grade (G) of breast cancer and its components (scores for tubule formation - T, nuclear pleomorphism P mitotic counts M) in core needle biopsies (CNBs) surgical excision specimens (EXC) patients treated with primary surgery (CHIR) or chemotherapy (PST).Methods. Grade matched pairs carcinomas CNB EXC was assessed according to the Nottingham grading system.Results. PST cases tended have higher pretreatment G. Concordance rates CHIR (n = 760) 148) groups P, M G were 79%, 70%, 75%, 71% 77%, 50%, 62%, respectively; differences concordance significant (p < 0.0001) 0.024). For discordant group, CNBs overestimate T underestimate G, whereas same trends identified but there a tendency be lower specimens.Conclusions. The reversal underestimation "overestimation" group can only explained effect mitosis reduction following chemotherapy. Whether posttreatment decrease reflects any prognostic value remains elucidated.

Abstract In recent years, breast conservation surgery (BCS) and modified radical mastectomy (MRM) have been widely used in the treatment of early‐stage cancer. However, effects complications from these two surgical methods are still unclear. The purpose this study was to evaluate BCS MRM on postoperative wound patients with early Eighty‐eight cancer were randomly divided into group ( n = 46) 42). occurrence compared between groups. results showed that had significantly lower intraoperative times, blood losses, incision lengths, drainage volumes, times lengths hospital stays than their counterparts p < 0.05). overall incidence at 1 month after surgery, but difference not statistically significant 0.001). rate excellent cosmetic outcome higher Compared MRM, has a complications, better outcomes clinical value

Abstract Background : Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed in women. Breast-conserving surgery (BCS) is standard approach for small low-risk tumors. If efficacy of cryoablation demonstrated, it could provide a minimally invasive alternative to surgery. Purpose To determine success ultrasound-guided achieving absence Residual Invasive Cancer (RIC) patients with ER+/HER2- tumors ≤ 2cm and sonographically negative axillary nodes. Materials Methods This prospective study was carried out from April 2021 June 2023, involved 60 preoperative procedures on ultrasound-visible, node-negative (cN0) infiltrating ductal carcinomas (IDC). Standard diagnostic imaging included mammography tomosynthesis, supplemented by biopsy. MRI performed associated intraductal carcinoma (DCIS) an component core needle biopsy (18 22 cases). All were tagged ferromagnetic seeds. A triple-phase protocol (freezing-thawing-freezing) Argon used, average procedure duration 40 minutes. logistic regression model applied significant correlation between RIC variables. Results Fifty-nine women (mean age 63 ± 8 years) sixty unifocal IDC underwent prior Pathological examination lumpectomy specimens post-cryoablation revealed only one 38 pure 4 mixed IDC/DCIS cases. treated had clear surgical margins, no procedural complications. Conclusions Cryoablation effective eradicating 97% ER+/HER2-tumors 2cm, demonstrating its potential as selected patients.

Introduction: Transbronchial cryoablation has been performed for peripheral but not central airway malignant tumor. We demonstrate transbronchial in 2 patients with lesions. Case Presentation: Case 1 was an 86-year-old woman who developed intratracheal metastasis associated postoperative recurrence of lung adenocarcinoma. The tumor resected using a high-frequency electrosurgical snare and three cryoablations. There no tracheal the 5 months after third procedure. 83-year-old man intermediate bronchial squamous cell carcinoma. one cryoablation. bronchus intermedius 12 treatment. In both cases, only adverse event minor bleeding. Conclusion: deserves consideration as local treatment tumors.
