The rapid process of urbanization in China had led to a large number laborers migrating from rural areas cities, leaving their children behind the areas. Internet gaming disorder (IGD) among left - (LBC) become prominent social concern. Especially during COVID-19 pandemic, LBC studied at home and long-term exposure electronic devices, which increased risks harms IGD. research aimed analyze formation, damage factors IGD sociologically, explored its processes, causes through data collection depth analysis. Between August 15, 2022, March 25, 2023, with consent participants, we conducted interviews 21 sixth grade students, 7 parents, teachers 5 primary schools Chinese Employing Grounded Theory method, carried out three level coding interview data. study found that children's went four processes: entering immersing exiting re video games. involved popularization game equipment, deficiency cultural infrastructure, incorrect guidance parents peers, as well experiences Our analysis showed negative impact on key aspects: cognition, physical mental health, educational outcomes, parent child interaction.
