ABSTRACT Introduction Cultural intelligence (CQ) has been attracting increasing attention in recent years as a necessary caability for adapting to different culture and improving expatriate performance (EP). However, the methods this have not fully elucidated, particular, relationship with lifestyle (LS) hardly clarified. Methods In paper, we therefore conducted cross‐sectional analysis using questionnaire response data obtained from 184 Japanese expatriates working subsidiaries overseas Study 1, 2, measured changes 15 of them an exploratory pilot study after smartphone app health promotion functions two weeks. Results The results showed that CQ mediated between LS EP both 1 2. Conclusion suggest science approach improves can be effective businesspeople cultural environments through their CQ.
