Objectives Implant placement errors remain a persistent challenge, leading to complications such as peri-implant bone loss, neurosensory issues, and, in severe cases, implant failure. This study evaluates the prevalence and characteristics of dental positioning patients treated at Dental University Hospital. Methods: A sample 500 cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans was used assess implants for errors, including thread exposure, proximity anatomical structures, violations inter-implant implant–tooth distances. Results: total 56.6% exhibited with maxillary posterior region being most commonly affected area (51.6%). The frequent observed were exposure (37.7%) sinus (27.7%). Statistical analysis revealed significant correlations between location, underscoring need meticulous preoperative planning advanced imaging. While factors patient age, length, diameter analyzed, no statistically differences found error based on sex or demographic variables. Conclusions: highlights importance combining clinical expertise imaging modalities like CBCT minimize improve outcomes. Future research should focus refining surgical techniques evaluating impact implants’ design patient-specific accuracy placements.

This study examines whether age-related cognitive decline varies by race/ethnicity and how edentulism moderates these effects. Data from the Health Retirement Study (2006-2020), including 23,669 respondents aged 51 above across 189,352 person-wave observations were analyzed. Of all respondents, 13.4% edentulous at baseline, with 65.4% identified as non-Hispanic White, 20.5% Black, 14.18% Hispanic. Results linear mixed-effect models indicated that compared to Whites, Hispanic Black participants exhibited lower baseline cognition scores but slower age. For participants, this rate of was attenuated 0.03 units per year (95% CI: -0.06, -0.01, p = .049). The findings highlighted need for targeted interventions policies improve oral health, particularly populations. Addressing health disparities could help mitigate in group reduce racial/ethnic groups.

This study aimed to determine the association between physical function and edentulism among older adults. The fifth wave of Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS-5) data was used. Physical evaluated through performance, capability, appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASM). Edentulous found in 10.96% 2554 Low performance (OR 2.02, 95% CI 1.32-3.09; P = .001) shown be associated with 60 69 age group. In 70 79 group, both low 1.62, 1.04-2.53; .033) 1 dependency ADL/IADL 1.75, 1.02-2.98; .04) were significantly edentulism. Two or more dependencies 4.02, 1.15-13.99; .029) demonstrated significant adults ≥80 years. These findings highlighted importance maintaining natural teeth improving oral health during aging process.
